Options of personalization of towels

There is a huge market demand for personalized towels, and many customers inquire how we personalize those towels, and what are the difference there. Here we will discuss those related questions.

We first start with a design, from factory or customer, whatever. It may be business name, business trade mark, logo or icon.

Then there are several methods to incorporate the design into towels.

1. Embroidery

This is the simplest and cheapest way to put your design on the towels. But the design must be in relatively small size than towels, because that embroidery generally is stiff , the embroidered area is unsuitable for use. So, in practice, embroidery usually accompany dobby border towels and incorporate into Dobby border towels locates on the border.

Embroidery can be colorful, however, one single color embroidery is common. The cost base on the number of stitches, generally how much per 1000 stitch. Embroidery almost has no minimum order quantity(MOQ) problem.

2. Jacquard

Common terry looms plus a special attachment turn it into jacquard looms. There are two kind of jacquard, one with embossed pattern and dyed later, the other is yarn-dyed jacquard which is woven use pre-dyed yarns, and this kind is very similar with jacquard cloth we see for garment or drapery except loops/piles.

The former is not as tight as the latter about the requirement of minimum order quantity(MOQ). The jacquard towel with embossed pattern only need about 300kg, the latter need at least 900kg for two colors, increase one color plus nearly 450kg. To interpret, Let’s take a bath towel of weight 700gram for example. The former will need about 400pieces such bath towels, and the other need approximately 1200pieces.

3. Printing.

There are various ways of printing, the common two methods are pigment print and reactive print.

The reactive print often works with terry velour towels, which has one side loops cut off evenly and keep the other side untouched. The printing on the  sheared side. However, printing on both sides are on the increase these days.

Pigment print relatively simple and cheaper and print just on piles of towels, it usually has a little coarse touch. And the design’s detail  size can not be too fine or it will be deformed while piles change direction.
