What is terry velour?

Terry velour is a terry fabric which has been further processed by cutting off the pile loops of one side by special machine.

There are usually two steps process. First cutting before dyeing, then cut again after dyeing to make the surface even and smooth.

Terry velour golf towels have one side velour and the other side still pile loops.
